A. J. Boucot Conference was held in Nanjing on Sep. 30, 2004 (by Prof. Rong Jiayu)

We had a very pleasant Boucot conference in Nanjing on 30th, last September for his 80 birthday. There were 4  foreigners came from USA Norman Savage, Australia John Talent and Ruth Mawson, and Germany B.-D. Erdtmann with more than 50 Chinese participants Beijing, Nanjing, and some others. Eleven lectures were given in the meeting. His collaborations and contributions in China during the last 25 years have been greatly apprciated. It was suggested to organize a Boucot Volume which was intended to be published in a newly designed journal, namely "PALAEOWORLD".
